The Occitanie Region is offering €1 train tickets over two weekends during the month of June.
From June 13 - 14, all passengers on liO trains will benefit from the discounted price, even if they are travelling to destinations outside of the region.
This offer is usually in place on the first weekend of each month but has been rescheduled to allow people to attend events marking the 90th anniversary of the Front Populaire in Gruissan (Aude).
“For the past ten years, the Occitanie Region has been working to ensure equal access to rights and improve the daily lives of all its residents… These commitments uphold the spirit of solidarity and the fight for social rights that characterised the Front Populaire in 1936,” said Carole Delga, President of the Occitanie Region.
From June 20 - 21, more €1 train tickets will be available, but only on the Montréjeau–Luchon line including some trains from Toulouse, Tarbes and Pau.
This promotion will be held to celebrate the first anniversary of the reopening of the Montréjeau–Luchon railway line on June 22, 2025. A series of events will be held over the weekend in Luchon (Haute-Garonne) to mark the occasion.
How to buy €1 tickets?
You can purchase tickets on the liO Train website, at ticket offices in stations across Occitanie, and via the SNCF app.
Note that journeys involving connections (changing trains) require the purchase of one €1 ticket per train taken.
Following these promotions, the sale of €1 tickets on the first weekend of each month will resume in September, with tickets generally available 10 days before the date of travel.
