A British woman has been found safe and sound in Italy after going missing from her home in Nîmes, Gard, at the start of the month.
Danisah, 28, disappeared between March 1 and 4. Her last contact with her family was on March 2.
Police launched a missing persons appeal on March 6. The woman was reported to have left her home without taking an ID document, bank card, mobile phone, or her medication.
Her family said she was suffering from psychological issues.
Despite reports that she was spotted over the weekend in the Nîmes area, police continued their search
Yesterday afternoon an update from the local Gard police confirmed Danisah had been found safe.
They thanked the local community for their support in the search operation.
She had travelled several hundred kilometres and was discovered in Italy, according to local media reports. More details about the incident and how she got to Italy have not been released.
