Céline Dion set to begin Paris comeback this weekend

Céline Dion will return to the Paris stage this weekend, beginning a much anticipated tour at the Plenitude Arena on Saturday, September 12.

It is the singer’s first full concert since 2020 and after having been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in 2022, a rare neurological condition. 

Her appearance at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony in 2024, when she sang Edith Piaf’s Hymne à l'amour from the Eiffel Tower, had marked a spectacular but brief return to the spotlight for the 58-year-old Canadian singer. 

However, now Ms Dion is preparing for 16 concerts scheduled between September 12 and October 17. A further 10 concerts are planned for May 2027.

Can you still get last minute tickets?

Tickets for the shows were originally sold through several official outlets, including Ticketmaster France, Fnac Spectacles, AXS France and the Plenitude Arena.

At the moment though, there is no official ticket seller showing tickets still available.

However, last-minute availability can appear if ticket holders return their seats, so it is worth checking the official sellers regularly. 

Tickets resold through the official fan-to-fan service remain at their original price, starting from €89.50, although the price varies according to the location of the seat.

Outside these official channels, fans should be cautious about buying resale tickets, particularly through social media or unofficial websites where there is a risk of paying inflated prices or receiving an invalid ticket.

The superstar singer’s residency is expected to generate between €570million and €1bn in economic benefits for Paris, as hundreds of thousands of fans travel to the capital for the concerts, a study by Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking estimated.

What can fans watch on TV?

France Télévisions is the media partner for the Paris residency and has announced a Céline Dion programme that includes documentaries, magazine programmes, portraits and a dedicated Céline Dion collection on france.tv.

Among the programmes available to fans are Il était une Voix... Céline Dion, 20h30 le dimanche – La story de Céline Dion and a special edition of Vivement dimanche devoted to the singer.

However, France Télévisions has not announced a live television or streaming broadcast of the concerts themselves.

There is still a chance to win tickets

For those who have failed to secure a seat, there is also a last-minute chance to win tickets for the October tour.

France Télévisions is running a competition until September 15 at 23:59, offering Category 1 tickets for the concerts.

Fans aged 18 and over can enter by answering three questions. 

Paris is already in full Céline mode

Those without tickets can still join in.

On Friday, September 11 Paris is hosting a free Céline Dion karaoke at Place de la Bataille-de-Stalingrad in the 19th arrondissement.

Two sessions, at 16:00 and 19:00, are expected to bring together thousands of fans to sing some of her biggest hits. The singer herself will not be attending, but the event gives those without concert tickets a chance to take part in the celebrations.
