Low-cost carrier easyJet has expanded its presence in France for the winter season with 17 new routes, including five new services to the UK.
Eight of the 17 are not currently offered by any other airline, giving the British carrier a monopoly on these routes.
The exclusive flights are:
Nantes - Budapest (Hungary)
Bordeaux - Budapest (Hungary)
Lyon - Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt)
Lyon - Pristina (Kosovo)
Paris Charles de Gaulle - Luxor (Egypt)
Rennes - Geneva (Switzerland)
Rennes - Barcelona (Spain)
In addition, the previously popular Toulouse - London Gatwick route has returned despite the airport closing its base in the French city earlier this year.
Generally, these exclusive routes see two to three return flights per week, and tickets start at around €35.
For the Toulouse - London Gatwick service there are six flights per week between December 8 and January 4 and otherwise two services on Mondays and Fridays. The cheapest one-way ticket is €39.
Outside of these exclusive services, new routes for the winter include:
Strasbourg - Milan Malpensa (Italy)
Strasbourg - Rome Fiumicino (Italy)
Paris Charles de Gaulle - Belgrade (Serbia)
Bordeaux - Vienna (Austria)
Nice - Düsseldorf (Germany)
Furthermore, several flights between France and the UK are new this winter:
In many cases, these routes are designed for Britons travelling on holiday, either to the Christmas markets of Strasbourg or the Alpine slopes near Grenoble.
