Uber Boat is set to launch in France in mid-June 2026, adding another feature to its all-in-one app; this time including boat rentals in seven French cities.

The new feature will allow users to rent a boat directly through the app. The announcement comes shortly after the American giant introduced a new option allowing users to book hotels through the app, already available in the United States and expected to arrive in France soon.

“This expands the company’s travel portfolio and represents another step towards its vision of becoming the ‘app for everything’ — not just for cities, but also for tourist coastal regions,” Uber stated in a press release.

The boat rental option will be available for in-app bookings from mid-June in the following participating cities: Nice, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Marseille, Toulon, Paris, and Annecy.

Uber’s is partnering with Click&Boat, a Paris-based company with some 55,000 boats around the world.

Uber Boat is designed for leisure excursions rather than water-taxi transport between destinations. According to Uber, the service will be operated exclusively with certified professional skippers in compliance with local maritime regulations.

Users will be able to choose between instant bookings and request-based reservations requiring owner approval.

While prices have not yet been officially revealed, they are not expected to differ greatly from those already available on the Click&Boat platform, where rates for Nice varied significantly depending on the date, number of passengers, and size of the boat. A quick check showed prices starting from around €250 rising to more than €3,000 per day.

Uber One members are expected to receive 10% back in Uber One Credits on their bookings.
