A video clip of Paris police officers playing the iconic Titanic film theme while driving through a flooded street has been watched millions of times on social media.
Céline Dion’s My Heart Will Go On was blasted through the police car’s loudspeakers, accompanied by flashing blue lights.
Rémy Buisine, a journalist for French media outlet Brut., was broadcasting the aftermath of a violent storm (Wednesday, June 25) live on TikTok when he captured the comedic moment.
“Our police officers have a sense of humour. It never hurts in difficult times,” wrote the official Officiers et commissaires de police account on social media platform, X.
The thunderstorm caused extensive damage throughout the city, and across France, uprooting trees, causing the cancellation of flights, and disrupting a debate at the Assemblée nationale.
