Album review: Tiens, voilà mon best-of by Louane

The singer's new limited edition collection features France's 2025 Eurovision Song Contest entry, Maman

Louane's new limited edition 'Best of' album featuring her Eurovision hit 'Maman'

At the age of 28, Louane (real name Anne Peichert) might seem relatively young to have just released a ‘Best of’ collection. But the Pas-de-Calais born chanteuse – whose father had German and Polish origins, and mother Portuguese and Brazilian roots, though she was orphaned at the age of 17 – has enjoyed huge success in her ten-year career.

It began in 2013 when she made a name for herself on the TV talent show The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix, and gained further public recognition for her acting skills in the smash hit 2014 film La Famille Bélier, which won her the César for Best New Actress in 2015.

Her debut album released the same year topped the charts for 12 consecutive weeks and became the biggest selling record in France. Four studio albums followed in 2017, 2020, 2022 and 2024.

Louane is also socially committed, being a patron of the anti-poverty and discrimination charity Secours populaire français.

Included on the new limited edition (1,000 copies) collection – amusingly titled ‘Voilà mon best of’ (Here you are, my best of) - is her song Maman, which she sang when representing France at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. She finished seventh out of 26 finalists.

Louane will be on tour from September 2025.
